Who we are

Silverish is an online jewellery store based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, it means Silverish. If you have any question about your information, write to [email protected].

What we collect

Information you give us

• Order details: your name, phone number, email address, delivery address, any note you add, and what you ordered.
• Account details: if you create an account, your name, email address and a password. Passwords are stored in hashed form; we cannot read them.
• Messages: anything you send through the contact form, by email or by phone.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, used to keep the site secure and working properly.
• Your bag and wishlist are saved in your own browser’s storage so they are still there when you return. They are not sent to us until you check out.

Payments

Online payments are processed by SSLCommerz, a payment gateway based in Bangladesh. When you pay by card, bKash, Nagad or another online method, you enter your payment details on SSLCommerz’s secure page, not on ours.

We never see or store your card number, CVV, PIN or wallet credentials. We receive only a confirmation of whether the payment succeeded, the amount and a transaction reference, which we keep with your order. SSLCommerz handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.

If you choose cash on delivery, no payment information is collected at all.

How we use your information

• To process, deliver and support your orders, including returns and refunds.
• To send order confirmations and delivery updates.
• To reply when you contact us.
• To send our newsletter, only if you have subscribed.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To keep the records we are required to keep for accounting and tax purposes.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

Only the parties that need it to do their part:

• Courier partners receive your name, phone number, address and the amount to collect, so they can deliver your parcel.
• SSLCommerz receives the order amount and your contact details to process an online payment.
• Service providers that host the website and send our email, who handle information on our behalf.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies: one keeps you signed in, and others are set by the payment gateway while you pay. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but signing in and checking out may not work without them.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax and warranty purposes. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Account details can be edited in your profile.
• Ask us to delete your account and personal information, except what we must keep by law.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by writing to us.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, passwords are hashed, and access to order information is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear on the site.
